Chest of Drawers Restoration

This antique chest of drawers came to me in a very bad condition. It was very dirty with missing and loose veneers and drawers with worn away runners and drawer sides. It also had drawer bottoms missing. The drawers were repaired by cutting out worn areas and splicing in replacement wood and using reclaimed timber for the new drawer bottoms. I renewed the drawer runners before sticking down the loose veneer and replacing missing parts or wax filling as much of the original as possible. The whole chest of drawers was then cleaned, stained and wax polished to bring it back to its former glory.
